I was delighted to visit the St. Johns Village Fete on Saturday, meeting many different local organisations and charities - thank you for taking the time to talk to me!
Particular thanks to the Woking Sea Rangers. The Crew was formed in 1942 and takes its name from HMS Wakeful, which we remember with thanks for its many many brave rescues before it was sunk at Dunkirk. Now they offer our youngsters a fun and packed programme of boating, crafts, badge work and residential trips to build their self-esteem, boating knowledge and make life long friendships’. I am pictured below alongside the Chairman of Surrey County Council, Cllr Saj Hussain.
