Jonathan Lord MP recently met with Highways England to discuss noise pollution on the M25 between junctions 10 and 11 and the M1 junction 5 to 6 concrete surface trial.
The M1 trial is looking at whether noise is reduced by different treatments and their durability, and is expected to run until 2022. The results of this trial will help Highways England decide how to manage concrete surfaces on its network in the future, including the aforementioned section of the M25.
Jonathan will continue to monitor this situation very closely indeed.
