Jonathan has joined local campaigner Ambreen Muzaffar in supporting Save The Children's campaign Power of my Pen.
Power of my Pen is a campaign calling for renewed efforts from the UN to draft a Security Council resolution on the Yemeni Civil War, and so pave the way for an end to the conflict.
Jonathan commented 'I was delighted to support Ambreen in the fantastic volunteer work that she does for people in our local community, and for her efforts in raising awareness and campaigning for an end to the war in Yemen. Our thoughts are with the Yemeni people, and we pray for a comprehensive ceasefire and lasting peace.'
On 22nd January, The Foreign Secretary, Jeremy Hunt MP, announced £2.5 million in additional funding to support the UN peace process in Yemen.
