Jonathan Welcomes Increase in Surrey Police Officers

421 More Police Officers in Surrey Than in 2010

Jonathan has welcomed the news from Lisa Townsend, Surrey Police and Crime Commissioner that Surrey Police now has their highest ever headcount in the force's history. 

In March 2010, the headcount at stood at 1,835 and as of February 2023, the headcount stood at 2,256. Surrey Police says it has now exceeded its target of adding 98 extra officers this year. 

Lisa Townsend said: “An enormous effort has gone into recruiting these officers over the past three years, so I am delighted Surrey Police has achieved and now exceeded its target".
