Improved performance from Woking's Primary Schools

Woking has seen an increase from last year in the proportion of pupils achieving the expected standard in reading, writing and mathematics. There are 17 out of 24 primary schools in Woking which have seen an increase following the latest 2018 Key Stage 2 results (published on 13 December).

Thanks to the hard work of teachers and pupils who have adjusted well to the reformed KS2 tests, the national average has increased from 61% to 64% this year. These more demanding KS2 tests have set a higher standard in schools, bringing England’s primary school curriculum closer to the curricula common in countries with the most successful education systems.
