The Army Welfare Service (AWS) is the Army’s professional welfare provider; it delivers a comprehensive and confidential welfare service responsive to the needs of individuals, families and the Chain of Command in order to maximise the operational effectiveness of Service Personnel.
The AWS is currently developing the Youth Voice programme to listen to and learn from the lived experiences of children and young people from service families.
Jonathan Lord MP had the pleasure of meeting with some of these children and young people from Pirbright ATC in Parliament last week.
The young people had a guided tour of the Palace of Westminster and sat in the House of Commons' gallery to watch Prime Minister's Questions. Following this, Jonathan greeted them in Central Lobby before taking them to the terrace for a short Q&A.
More information about the AWS can be found here.
