Jonathan Lord MP was delighted to welcome the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Jeremy Hunt MP, to Woking yesterday and to discuss with him the economic challenges and opportunities ahead. It was also a good chance to show the Chancellor Woking's revitalised town centre.
Jeremy Hunt also had the opportunity to visit McLaren’s HQ and inspect their high tech facilities and discuss their exciting future plans.
Jonathan Lord MP commented, "Every day I’m working to make sure that Woking’s voice is heard at the highest levels of government and I was delighted to show Jeremy how Woking is welcoming new businesses and helping to drive economic growth here in the South East."
Jeremy Hunt MP said “Woking and the South East has many successful and ambitious businesses and these companies will have a crucial role to play in driving the UK’s growth story of the next few years. It was also great to visit Woking town centre for the first time in a while and I was very impressed with the transformation since I was last here.”
