Jonathan Chairing the Flood Meeting

Jonathan was recently pleased to convene and chair another meeting between Horsell residents, officers from Surrey County Council, managers from Thames Water, plus other stakeholders such as the Horsell Common Preservation Society to discuss longstanding flooding issues at particular locations near Wheatsheaf Common and the wider issues of the Rive Ditch.

Jonathan was also joined by local Surrey County Councillor, Cllr Riasat Khan, who has been proactive in trying to solve these problems. As a result of the meeting, Surrey County Council and Thames Water will stay involved in trying to help address residents’ concerns and Jonathan is looking forward to an action plan being drawn up and agreed to with some key next steps clearly outlined.
