Increasingly, Woking residents are having to travel to Ashford Hospital for their out-patient appointments. Previously, many of these appointments were carried out at St Peter's Hospital, but since the coronavirus pandemic appointments are increasingly being scheduled in Ashford.
Although this is only an 11 mile journey, it takes over an hour by public transport. This is simply too long a journey for people to have to make for these important appointments, particularly those residents who do not have access to a car.
To make sure patients can access their appointments, I am campaigning to change this and for a direct bus route to be provided from Woking to Ashford Hospital, as there is for St. Peter's.
