At the Health and Social Care Questions on 11th July 2023, Jonathan Lord MP was called by the Speaker to ask a Health Question and did so on the new NHS Diagnostic Centre coming to Woking Community.
Jonathan Lord MP said:
I'm delighted that a new diagnostic centre is shortly to be built at our terrific Woking Community Hospital, very close to Woking Town Centre.
Would the Minister agree with me that providing state-of the-art diagnostic care right in the heart of the community can cut NHS waiting lists, reduce carbon emissions, and, most importantly, help to optimise the health outcomes for patients?
Health Secretary, Steve Barclay MP replied:
Well, I not only agree, Mr. Speaker, I've been with the honourable gentleman and seen first-hand exactly the scheme. I know he has championed it vociferously and helped to secure that investment for his constituency. I look forward to working with him to ensure that this is delivered as quickly as possible.
